The Altitude Franchise Year in Review

Tuesday, December 20, 2022

Altitude Parks sets the standard for active family fun and, with a talented team behind our brand, we reached exhilarating new heights in 2022. Not only have we grown to one of the world’s largest family entertainment brands with nearly 90 locations open, we’ve invested heavily into the development of our parks. Our attractions and guest experiences remain some of the finest in the industry. Altitude is on the rise – below are the moments from this year that will allow us to carry that momentum into 2023:

Expanding Altitude Jump Parks into New Markets

In our mission to bring active family fun and free play to even more communities, our entertainment franchise signed 18-plus franchise agreements this year in new markets such as Northern Michigan, New Mexico, Virginia, Coastal South Carolina, Indiana and Denver. We also opened nine parks in 2022, sharing the Jump Life!SM mantra with children and families in Spain; Leesburg, Virginia; Lawrenceville, Georgia; Jacksonville Beach, Bradenton and Tallahassee, Florida; Mandeville, Louisiana, and the reopening of an existing park in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Refreshed and Updated Park Attractions

At the start of 2022, our team made it a priority to invest heavily in the development and strengthening of our relationships with new and existing park suppliers. Because of these efforts, we’ve been able to create additional revenue streams for our venues including refreshed concessions offerings, in-park apparel, updated and exclusive attractions and streamlined on-boarding systems. These modifications have bolstered the Altitude franchise opportunity, drawing interest from both new and existing franchise operators alike.

Award-Winning Franchise

Beyond the remarkable park growth achieved this year, Altitude collected accolades within the industry, further showcasing our advancement as a brand. We joined Inc. Magazine’s 2022 list of “America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies” with an impressive ranking in the top 15 percent of this year’s honorees, in addition to debuting on the Franchise Times’ Top 500 list. Furthermore, our leadership team’s level of expertise earned CEO Mike Rotondo and President and CMO Amy Phillips the distinctions of Georgia Titan 100 and Entrepreneur’s CMO Gamechanger respectively.

Team-Building Annual Franchise Convention

Taking place in September of this year, the annual Altitude Parks convention offered our franchise system an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments from this past year and to learn business development strategies from one another. We recognized stand-out franchise owners and general managers at a special dinner through our “All Star Franchisee of the Year” and “All Star Managers of the Year” awards. The convention also represented a chance for members of our leadership team to look ahead to the future and share plans for continued innovation with park attractions, point of sale operating systems and employee training resources.
Altitude is projected to open 15 new parks and has a goal of signing an additional 41 units in 2023 to bring us closer to the 100 parks open milestone. As our brand continues to shape the guest experience to best fit the needs of both families and operators, we want passionate business savvy professionals to join us. If multi-unit business ownership is a goal of yours in the new year, now is the time to discuss if Altitude is the right fit for your next venture.
